Brandon Groce's Game Changers Community
About the project
Brandon Groce, a prominent designer on Instagram, established the Game Changers Community—an discord group for designers, artists, and creatives looking to take their skillset to the next level. This group engaged in weekly design challenges, each intended to assist members in creating portfolio-worthy pieces.
The challenge
Having actively participated in the group for several months, a fresh challenge surfaced in our Discord community. Create a logo /branding that effectively embodies the essence of our vibrant community.
Creating a style
Brandon's livestreams exuded a futuristic, vibrant, and cyberpunk feel in his graphics, offering a clear vision for the branding style. Inspired by these dynamic elements, I aimed to create a cohesive brand identity for Game Changers.
Design exploration
I explored various design concepts, fonts, and colour schemes. This process was essential to ensure alignment with the futuristic and vibrant style used in Brandon's livestream graphics. The goal was to create a brand for Game Changers that seamlessly integrated with the existing visual language of the community.
Design Inspirations
For the Game Changers brand, I selected a limited colour scheme inspired by vibrant tones in video games and livestreams with a cyberpunk aesthetic. These colours aim to resonate with the gaming community, infusing the brand with a modern, dynamic feel that complements Brandon's livestream atmosphere.
Symbolic Design
While creating concepts, I focused on incorporating a distinctive icon. Given the community's competitive nature with weekly challenges and the pursuit of victory, I honed in on the idea of using a crown. Symbolising achievement and recognition, the crown aligns seamlessly with the community's spirit, representing the goal of crowning weekly challenge winners.
Results
Throughout the challenge, members of the community submitted various concepts. During our weekly live stream, Brandon reviewed each entry and provided really positive feedback and was very impressed by the work I created in such a short timeframe. 
At the end of the stream the community voted, and I won! Brandon was so taken with the design that he requested to purchase it for universal use across his social platforms.
Two years later, the branding I created is still going strong, proudly representing the community through livestreams and Instagram.

The brand has gained extensive exposure, viewed by more than 8,000 members within the Game Changers discord.
Longevity and Recognition
The branding I developed remains in use, establishing a lasting presence within the community and beyond.
